The experience gained by CAEB in compacting has led the Company's technological research to address the topic of industrial processing scraps and waste materials originating from packaging and packing materials. These represent solutions which enable the production lines to be kept in order and clean, to reduce the overall dimensions and to optimise the spaces used to store the scraps or waste material. |
1 |
Why is it preferable to compact?
OMNIPRESS 800 is our rotary compactor that enables volumes to be reduced by up to 70-75%. |
2 |
Hydraulic presses exist on the market which achieve the effect of reducing the volumes of rejects, why should I prefer your solutions?
OMNIPRESS 800 is unique in terms of its operating flexibility that is confirmed by its use with different types of materials. The compact design, the hourly productivity and the easy transfer (the machine can be moved using a hand pallet truck and can be supplied with a specific trolley) contribute to the proposal's flexibility. |
3 |
Which types of material can be compacted?
OMNIPRESS 800 is capable of pressing cardboard, film, fabrics, plastic bottles, wooden and plastic fruit boxes, binding materials and also expanding materials, for example, foam rubber and glass wool. |
4 |
What do I obtain as the result of compacting?
Compacting produces a bale that is 80 cm long, with a diameter of 40 cm and has an average weight of approximately 40 kg. |
| |

|
5 |
How long does it take to compact a bale?
The complete compacting cycle for each bale is approximately 3 minutes, with a productivity that is equivalent to approximately 800 kg per hour. |
6 |
How is the bale bound, do I have to rehandle the bale for the binding operation?
Binding is completely automatic, we propose the net that the machine uses in a very versatile way. |
7 |
Is qualified personnel required to use the compactor?
OMNIPRESS 800 is ready to be used at any time. The operator only has to introduce the material to be pressed inside the special opening and the machine does the rest. The automatic devices incorporated in the machine make the operator's task (even an unqualified operator) easy and safe. |
8 |
Can your machine be incorporated in a production line?
Our machine is totally flexible and OMNIPRESS 800 can be supplied with a management programme that enables the machine to be integrated perfectly with other production/loading lines; no further action is required by the operator. |
9 |
Does the material to be compacted require specific prior handling? For example, do I need to intervene beforehand by cutting or reducing their size if I have plastic bottles or cardboard or wooden boxes?
No preparation is needed with OMNIPRESS 800: the materials to be compacted are introduced into the machine as they are. |
10 |
Can I then palletise the bales obtained?
The bale obtained weighs 40 kg and has a cylindrical shape and so can be readily palletised in groups of 6 (up to 240 kg). |
| |

|
11 |
Can your machine also be used inside small environments?
The machine has the following overall dimensions: (110 cm long, 134 cm deep, height including the roller carrier and roller 200 cm and 170 cm without the roller carrier and roller), its weight (875kg) and its manoeuvrability enables the machine to be used effectively even in small sized environments. |
12 |
For which types of use do you recommend your solution?
Many industrial and commercial sectors have been using our solution, at best, for many years. As an example, we can mention the following: - Printing works - Box factories - Textile and clothing industries - Automotive - Plastic and cardboard packaging industries - Supermarkets and large-scale retail channels - Indoor and outdoor fruit and vegetable markets - Leather industries |
13 |
Does your machine cause dirt?
No, our machine does not cause dirt because no cutting is involved, but the machine compacts the scrap material. |
14 |
Do I have to wait a long time to start-up the machine? Not even one second, because photoelectric cells are installed in the machine's loading opening which start or stop the machine automatically when the material to be compacted is present or absent. |
